Hostility Attribution and Behavior Patterns with the Children in Agression Provoking Situation

The article discusses interrelation between the hostility attribution and behavior scenarios with the children in aggression provoking situation. It has been found that the predominant cognitive styles used by the younger students to explain the reasons for peers’ behavior in aggression provoking situation are non-hostility and chance attribution, and tendency to forgiveness. Primary school students regardless of gender tend to choose the strategy of passive aggression and assertive response.

Personal Identity in the Situation of Identification System Change (Socio-Psychological Effects of the Ukrainian Breakup)

The article offers definition of identity from the theoretical angle of subjective-existential approach. It is pointed out that on the one hand personal identity reflects the degree of definiteness, consistency of personality’s system organization with inclusion of all the fields of its existence. On the other hand, personality defines itself as an actor, that holds a certain position in the system of social identifications and its identity is conditioned by the way a personality identifies Others in relation to itself.

Informational Socialization in Multi-Cultiral Space

The article discusses the current problem of information socialization in relation to her teenage stage. It is proved that the new information technologies are today both the means and the social environment of the individual in adolescence and early adulthood. It is argued that new information, the content expressed in the dynamics of the various areas of adolescent socialization.

Concept Apparatus in Psychology of Personality’s Adaptation

The article discusses contents of the key concepts used in modern psychological research of personality adaptation. The author suggests that we define psychological adaptation as a developing process and a result of balanced and dynamic correlation between the requirements (capabilities) of environment and capabilities (requirements) of personality. The article throws light on correlation between categories of adaptation and interaction. Psychological adaptation is happens in a form of active interaction with the environment.

Socio-Cultural-Interdeterministic Dialogical Perspective of Forming Intercultural Competence

The study shows that socio-cultural-interdeterministic dialogical approach focuses on conditioned interdeterministic nature of interactions between situational, personal, and activity determinants of behavior, which are actualized in concrete historical and cultural context. The article substantiates the necessity of viewing the range of problems of a personality in the three-dimensional continuum of the apprehended-non-apprehended-existential, which allows to cover the diversity of manifestations of psychological phenomenology.

Social Psychology of Personality: Problems and Prospects

The article covers peculiarities of social psychology of the modern personality object field. We emphasize the necessity of bringing together various approaches to analysis of a personality as a representative of social groups. We pose a number of problems of current importance, which are to be solved with the help of the inter-disciplinary analysis. Special focus is set on the problems of socialization and its effects, subjective well-being, social activity and self-determination of a personality.

Peculiarities of Attention in Professional Activity of Medical Institutions' Staff

The article presents theoretical analysis of the scientific problem of attention in the context of professional activity of medical institutions’ staff. Special attention is given to social orientation of attention in representatives of professions of the socio-economic type. The study shows that socialization of attention functions through its inclusion into various social groups and various types of social and psychological activity.

Predictors of Successful Marriage as Perceived by Mixed-age Groups Representatives

The article presents theoretical analysis of the problem regarding determination of successful marriage factors in the modern society. It identifies psychological peculiarities of perceptions regarding reasons of successful marriage in teenagers and adults. The study considers their differences and similarities. The study was carried out on the sample of (n = 30) people with various social and age characteristics.

Social and Psychological Characteristics of Conflictive Interaction in Married Couples

The article analyzes theoretical approaches to understanding the problem of conflictive interaction in married couples. There is a connection between personality and strategy of behavior in problematic situations between spouses. We studied the conformity of role expectations of spouses with different strategies of behavior in family conflict, different family histories of parent family and character of matrimonial interaction in conflict. The study is based on a sample, which includes 60 respondents (30 women and 30 men aged 18–30).

Axiological Structure of Personality and Non-normative Speech Behavior

The article shows results of the empirical study of axiological structure in correlation to non-normative speech behavior, which has been made on a proportionally matched sample of youth with normative and non-normative speech behavior. Within the framework of the study, we used methods for studying personal values by S. Schwartz and U. Bilski, adapted by V. N. Karandyshev, original questionnaire for studying inclination to non-normative speech behavior, and methods of comparative and correlative analysis.
