Viability of Urban Residents: Content of the Concept, Theoretical and Empirical Possibilities of Its Application

The purpose of the study presented in the article is to theoretically and methodologically substantiate the appropriateness of applying the concept of “viability of urban residents” in the studies of urban social psychology. Interdisciplinary analysis of approaches to the study of the problem of “human being and the city” has been carried out.

Psychology of Sustainable Development: Challenges and Prospects

Today the task of practical implementation of sustainable development has become even more important than three decades ago, when the corresponding concept was formulated. The coronavirus pandemic, which caused natural avalanche of negative consequences in the economy and society at the global, national, local, and individual levels, is just one of the tragic evidences of this. Initially, the term “sustainability” was put forward in natural sciences, but it is currently used in a wider context, which leads to misunderstanding.

Professional Life: Synergetic Approach. Part 1

The article continues the series of works on the problem of career (professional life). We study the phenomenon of “professional life”, its historical evolution, difficulties of its full and adequate scientific explication, and the techniques of its study. We consider a number of aspects of the problem within the boundaries of the means and capabilities of the synergistic approach. The subject of our research is career (professional life, in particular) as a social, socio-psychological and psychological (subjective, personal) phenomenon.

Problems and Perspectives of the Study of Young People’s Social Activity

The purpose of the study presented in the article is to give a theoretical review of articles devoted to the problem of social activity and its types. The urgency of the study of social activity is conditioned by the need to study psychological mechanisms of formation, development and forms of its manifestation in young people under the changing conditions of the social environment. The article presents the main definitions of the notion of social activity from the interdisciplinary perspective.

Theoretical Prerequisites for the Study of Discriminatory Attitudes of the Personal in the Changing Society

The main purpose of the article is to present a theoretical review and analysis of modern Russian and foreign studies on the problem of discriminatory attitudes of an individual. The urgency of the study is determined by many factors and is due to scientific, theoretical and socio-psychological circumstances of the modern society. Discriminatory attitudes increase the intensity of local conflicts between dominant and discriminated groups.

Three Definitions and Three Approaches to Study of Collaboration: in the Social, Organizational and Pedagogical Psychology

The causes for the relatively small exploring of the phenomenon of collaboration in comparison with the conflict are considered. An alternative approach to collaboration in terms of post-non-classical psychology (correspondence, selectivity, reciprocity) is suggested. Critical analysis of daily and philosophical representations of collaboration is carried out. Based on the APA Dictionary of Psychology, three different working definitions of collaboration for social, organizational and pedagogical psychology are given.

Transformation of Worldview and Ways of Categorization of the Other in Modern Children

The article presents the implementation of the network approach to analyzing the worldview of a person and describes its main characteristics (complexity, lack of a stable core, self-organization, nonlinearity, synergistic relationships, polydetermination).

Forms of Economic Socialization of a Personality: Explanation of the Approach

of identifying the diversity of forms of economic socialization, and the nature of relationships between them. We explain the development perspective of the approach to the study of forms of economic socialization of an individual, as well as analyze the interrelation between such concepts as the “stage of economic socialization” and “form of economic socialization”. Also, the article describes the interrelation of a form and content of economic socialization.

The aim of the research presented in the article: historical and theoretical analysis of the scientific concepts of human development periodization (as a subject of activity, as a personality). The paper describes the phenomenon of “professional career”, the complexity of its full and adequate scientific explication and analyses the well-known concepts of human development periodization (S. Method of Studying Deviant Activity in the Real and Virtual Environment

Based on the works of Russian and foreign researchers in the field of the psychology of deviant behavior, definitions of the terms “real deviant activity” and “virtual deviant activity” have been specified. The article proposes a new toolset for the study of selected types of social activity. The purpose of the study was to develop and validate the original method. The sample consisted of 260 students (checking internal consistency, split reliability, convergent validity n = 210, diachronic reliability n = 50). Psychometric toolkit contains 48 points and 4 scales.
