Personal Development of the Sportsman as a Condition of Growth of a Competitive Noise Stability

In the article we consider the features of athletes’ personality and their development that may influence on their hindrance resistance and determine success or failure in competition activity. We analyze relation between personality’s separate lines and athletes’ susceptibility to different hindrance influences. Recommendation for forming of appropriate personality’s qualities are given.

Personality and Cognitive Abilities of a Subject

The article analyzes the phenomena of a «personal knowledge » in the concept of M. Polanyi, investigating classic problem of object-subject interrelation in the cognition from the point of view of the latter one. It shows that a subject in the cognitive activity is not to be determined by objective regularities, but rather by a personality, as the result of cognitive activity depends on its qualities and abilities. The author fixes the most important levels of subjective organization of cognition: humanity, society, scientific society, personality.

Socio-Cultural Field as the Factor of Youth Personalities' Social Adaptation

The article presents the meaning of socio-cultural field of a personality by its ascriptive status, based on social background, economic status, place of residence and territorial belonging. It discusses the opportunity of socio-cultural field study as the factor of youth personalities’ social adaptation on the basis of dichotomy center – province (city – village).

Tolerance Development in Ontogenesis of a Personality

The article is about the problem concerning tolerance development of a personality in ontogenesis. It presents the analysis data of psychological conceptions (conception of stage brain building, psychoanalytical conception of culture, socio-analytical theory) that form the basis for modern methodology in researching tolerance development of a personality and give an opportunity to confirm that individual tolerance development repeats the stages of its general social and historical development.

Theoretical Model of Personality’s Readiness for Self-development Formation

In this work the author discusses results of theoretical and empirical research on readiness for self-development, and on viability in connection with coping-strategies characteristics and protective behavior strategies. The author’s model of personality’s readiness for self-development is presented. The research was made on the student community sample collected from the students of Pedagogical Institute of Kazan Federal University (n = 188). Ethical and psychological factors of social activity of modern young people

The purpose of the study presented in the article is an empirical study of the relationship between characteristics of moral selfdetermination and various forms of social activity of young people. The study involves students (N = 236): high school students (n = 118) and university students (n = 118) of Saratov and Saratov Oblast (Russia) aged from 17 to 19 years. Analysis of Relationship between Commitment to Civic Engagement and Socio-Psychological Characteristics of Students

The purpose of the study presented in the article is to identify the relationship between commitment to civic engagement and sociopsychological characteristics of the individual. The study was carried out on a sample of young students (N = 110) aged 17 to 29 years (M = 23, SD = 3.98), 29% of men and 71% of women.
