Personality Image: Content of the Concept and its Place in the Pedagogical Terminology Inventory

The article is focused on the concept «personality image» in historical and pedagogical context. The concept includes some qualities of an advocate of the ideals of culture and goals of education. Its content and methodological significance in the system «culture-education», its place in the pedagogical terminology inventory and correlation with the concepts «goal of education», «pedagogical ideal» are under analysis in the article.

Constitutional Psychology of Juveniles and Men with Delinquent Bechavior and Alcohol Dependence Syndrome

The current study examines features and correlations of particular psychodynamic and dermatoglyphic characteristics and body constitutions. Participants: 45 boys, 33 young men and 250 men. Methods: psychodiagnostic tests, anthropometry and dactyloscopy.

Personality traits of a modern leader as seen by students

The relevance of the research is due to the public demand for the development of youth leadership programs. Additionally, the leaders themselves express the need to take into account the ideas of the youth about their personal characteristics in order to develop effectively. The objective of the study is to identify characteristics that are signifi cant for a modern youth leader as seen by students themselves depending on their gender and age.

Individual psychological prerequisites for self-realization of IT specialists

The relevance of the study is due to the poor development of the problem of professional self-realization of IT specialists. The specifi city of the professional activity of this category of employees imposes special requirements on their individual psychological characteristics, which ensure the success of self-realization of specialists engaged in information and computer activities. Purpose: to identify the specifi cs of self-realization of IT professionals with diff erent individual typological features.

Subjective well-being in its relation to various forms of activity of the student youth

Social activity is the sphere of students’ personal socialization and fulfi llment. The study of interconnection between adherence to various forms of social activity and characteristics of subjective well-being allows unveiling the most general parameters of student activity’s consistence and personal orientation. The purpose of the study is to carry our analysis of the interconnection between subjective well-being characteristics and social activity forms.

Theoretical approaches to the study of the subjective well-being phenomenon

The necessity to “reconcile” various research positions regarding the study of subjective well-being phenomenon on the basis of an integrated approach makes the study of the theoretical approaches to the phenomenon relevant. Despite the abundance of modern scientifi c publications in the fi eld of psychology devoted to the study of well-being, there is a lack of a unifi ed understanding of the nature of this phenomenon. Scientists use a lot of concepts that are similar in content, but are not strictly diff erentiated.

The Dynamics and Personal Predictors of Preferred Coping Strategies of Cadets of Military High School

The purpose of this article is to analyse overcoming behaviour models in terms of the military socialization of cadet personality. The data show the dynamics of behaviour strategies throughout the entire period of training in military high school. It has been discovered that the third year cadets are exposed to use overcoming behaviour strategies against common crisis conditions, which is expressed in reducing the importance of active and prosocial strategies and strengthening of passive and aggressive ones.

Socio-Cultural Matrix of Personality Development

The author uses her original approach to treat the role of personal representations of «Self – Other» in the development, formation, and self-determination of a person, which are constructed at different levels of the subject’s interaction (culture, society, personality). The paper suggests that it is culture and society that create conditions necessary for the development of personality by designing a kind of a socio-cultural matrix, but that it is a person that chooses meaningful reasons and value orientation for the trajectory of his/her spiritual and moral developme
