Autors:
Firsova Tatyana G., Saratov State University
Abstract:

The author defines such terms as «reading», «reader’s development », and «reader’s competence». Reader’s development is represented with consideration of the principle of rising to “acme” of reader’s personal competence. The article formulates the hypothesis about the supremacy of axiological component of the process of forming reader’s competence in primary schoolchildren and their development as readers. The article shows and generalizes the results of experimental research of the axiological component of reader’s activity in students of second to forth grades in the city of Saratov. The conclusion is drawn about the necessarity of carring out a complex of measures raising the status of reading in the minds of the young generation and revising educational technology of development and diagnostics of reader interest.
