Psychological Follow-Up of Processes of the First Year Students Adaptation to the Educational Environment of the University

The article presents data of theoretical and empirical investigation of the problem of socio-psychological organization of first year stu­dent’s adaptation to university educational environment. It shows that the development of personal adaptational system is ensured not only by the complex of its separate components (subsystems), but by their interaction as well. The article presents empirical research data. The sample included first year university students (n = 85); the following diagnostic tools were used: A. G. Maklakova and S. B.

Factors of Students’ Adaptation to University Educational Environment

The article presents theoretical analysis of modern state of the problem, regarding adaptation of students to the university environment. The article discusses manifestations and types of disadaptation, its psychological and educational risks, and analyzes adaptive strategies. The use of psychodiagnostic tools (T. D. Stages of Development of Personal Adaptational Readiness for Educational Environment Risks

The article identifies and describes six stages of formation of personal adaptational readiness for educational environment in dynamics of the course of its life, it also defines basic personal new formations, which determine high level of its development. The article shows that adaptational readiness for educational environment of pre-school educational institutions forms in early childhood and adaptational readiness for school educational environment forms during the preschool age.

Psychological Meaning of the Concept «School Adaptation»

The paper presents the findings of a theoretical analysis of the problem of school adaptation. It is demonstrated that school adaptation is an ongoing process, involving such fundamental changes in the person’s life as the change of activities and social environment. School adaptation is interpreted not only as a process of adaptation to effective functioning in an educational environment, but also as the person’s active exploration of the surrounding environment associated with his/her ability to develop psychologically, personally, and socially.

Family as a Factor Successful Adaptation of Adolescents in Inclusive Education

The article presents data of the study of life scripts and adaptive capabilities of adolescents enrolled in an inclusive educational institution. This work represents the results of research carried out on a representative sample of students (Ulyanovsk; N = 98, age 12–17 years) with the use of diagnostic tools: diagnostic technique of social – psychological adaptation of С. Rogers and P. Diamond; technique «Essay » adapted by the author. The differences of socio-psychological adjustment between adolescents with different life scenarios.

Psychological Well-Being of Students on the Stage of Adaptation To the University Educational Environment

The article discusses the problem of first-year students’ psychologi­cal well-being at the process of their adaptation to the educational environment in the beginning of staying at university on the new social position of student. From many factors influencing adaptation the au­thor discusses psychological well-being because dissatisfaction and psychological ill-being can lead to stress, depressive position, loss of interest to learning and in fine to deadaptation.

Particularities of Attitude to Migrants under Media-Impact Conditions

The article presents the results of theoretical analysis of the problem of mass migration under conditions of migrant phobia in the Russian society. The authors paid special attention to the role of the mass media in migrant’s image formation. Media images cause mostly negative emotions in social conciseness; they form an image of «foreign», destructive type of ethnic migrant, that is connected with either illegal economical spheres or crime.

Educational Programs for Senior Citizens

The article views the problem of gerontoeducation as a factor of socialization and adaptation of senior citizens. It presents the data proving that one third of the elderly people in Russia have a need for learning. The article describes new forms of working with the elderly aimed at preservation of their social and intellectual activity, and allow them to maintain physical and spiritual well-being as long as possible.

Socio-Psychological Aspects of Leading the Processes of Intended Socialization of Youth

The article discusses the problem of intended socialization of youth. It offers the data of psychological approaches (Gabriel Tarde, V. S. Mukhina, A. V. Petrovsky) that lie at the foundation of analysis of essence and mechanisms of socialization mechanisms. We singled out the main directions of work aimed at accompanying: professional self-determination, adaptation process in institutions of higher education, establishment of professional competences.
