Psychological support of foreign students in Russian universities: Following the results of the meeting of the interregional round table discussion
The relevance of the study determines the necessity to promote the search for tools that increase the eff ectiveness of psychological support and adaptation of foreign students in Russian universities. It became the main idea of the interregional round table discussion “Psychological Support of Foreign Students in Russian Universities” (Penza State University, April 25, 2024). Purpose: an analytical review of the reports of the participants of the interregional round table discussion “Psychological Support of Foreign Students in Russian Universities”. Results: the participants, among whom there were representatives of university departments responsible for managing the adaptation of foreign students, representatives of public organizations, foreign students, and university professors, discussed the theory and practice of psychological support for foreign students studying at Russian universities. The originality and novelty of the interregional round table discussion are determined by the format of the event, the content of the reports and the list of participants. The round table was attended by representatives of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, China, India, Morocco, E gypt, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
