Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to identify the features of the subjective images of an ideal woman and wife due to the age of men and their inherent types of subject regulation. The hypothesis was tested that the images of the ideal woman and the wife in men will be influenced by both their age and the type of their subjective regulation. The study was conducted among men of Naberezhnye Chelny, the total number of subjects was 120 people. The age of the subjects ranged from 18 to 55 years. The questionnaires “Autonomy–dependence” and “Masculinity– femininity” were used. The influence of factor age on the indicator of kindness in assessing images of an ideal woman and wife, as well as the influence of this factor on the assessment of sexuality, has been established. In the image of an ideal wife, the influence of age on the mind index is traced: it is most significant in adolescence and maturity. The combined influence of factors of age and type of subjective regulation was found only when assessing the sense of humor of an ideal woman: the dependent type of subjective regulation in combination with the adult period of a man enhances the importance of humor in describing an ideal woman, while in adolescense and maturity, on the contrary, this factor is less significant. In men with an autonomous type of subjective regulation, the importance of humor in adulthood increases, but not as clearly as in dependent men, and weakens in adolescence and maturity.
