Psychological Factors of Subjective Well-Being

Autors:
Litvinova Natalia Yu., Vladimir State University named after Alexander and Nikolay Stoletovs
Abstract:

The article presents results of analytical literature review, which prove that the major condition of subjective well-being is psychological stability of a personality, which is formed with individual and typological personal peculiarities (substantial characteristics of a personality, i.e. creative, reflexive and goal-oriented ones), subjective activity (the degree of goal realization, creativity, emotional and voluntary selfregulation, constructive strategies for resolution of intra-personal and inter-personal conflicts), motivational and need-related sphere (in particular, the need for personal growth), conditions of the social sphere (ability to use external opportunities positively). The article shows that the degree of experiencing subjective well-being largely depends of personality (partly in-born peculiarities, partly stable peculiarities that have been formed in the course of lifetime), rather than random situations and objective conditions of life. Special attention is given to study of internal factors, such as psychological resources of goal-setting, creativity, reflection, and their practical implementation in characteristics of inter-personal relations, values, and views of the world.
