Psychological Formation Mechanisms of Students’ Readiness to Innovation Activity
The article deals with the results of theoretical and methodological analysis of the problem of psychological formation mechanisms of students’ readiness to innovation activity. Innovation activity is an integral part of any organization or enterprise and it supports the competitiveness and survival of a person in modern changing world. It is demonstrated that readiness for innovation activity is an important condition for its effective implementation, use of existing knowledge, realization of personal skills, preservation of self-control and capability to react swiftly to the situation. We established that the problem of innovation activity in education continues to be relevant; however the formation of students’ readiness is still understudied. The aim of the research is to define psychological mechanisms: self-control, introspection, identification as key mechanisms forming the students’ readiness to innovation activity. Self-control helps to monitor and to be aware of an activity. Introspection is a requirement of its systematic analysis and correction of actions. Identification provides introjection with a mentor, a teacher who has an experience in innovation activity and who posesses essential skills. The applied aspect of the problem can be used in organization of conditions of the system of psychological and pedagogical support of the process of formation the students’ readiness to innovation activity.
