Peculiarities of Value Orientations and Personal Socialization in Adolescents with Health Limitations
The article presents the data on comparative analysis of characteristics of value orientations and personal socialization of adolescents with health limitations, who do not suffer from chronic diseases. It describes major modern approaches to understanding of socio-psychological manifestations of personal socialization, its values and adaptation possibilities. The empirical study was conducted on two samples (35 adolescents aged 13–15 with health limitations in each sample). The following diagnostic toolset was used: «Level of correlation between “values” and “accessibility” in various areas of life» technique by E. B. Fantalova, Bell’s social adaptability questionnaire, methods of comparative and correlational analysis. It is shown that among the peculiarities of formation of value-related sphere in adolescents with health limitations are conditions related to adolescent’s adaptability in the family and state of his/her health. Low social adaptability combined with health limitations increase disintegration and change the adolescent’s value-related sphere.
