Autors:
Tolochek Vladimir A., Institute of Psychology RAS
Abstract:

The results of a 33-year longitudinal experiment of monitor mental capacity (MC) of subject is considered. We discuss the dynamics of MC, identified patterns are types of MC. The fact is that dynamics is spontaneity and repeatability of the of MC in weekly, monthly, annual and biennial cycle. There are several tendencies of MC dynamics: 1) the existence of at least six or seven types of dynamics of MC in the biennial cycle; 2) different «waves» MC with different duration; 3) the presence in each annual cycle some periods with greater and lesser stability of MC; 4) each has the form of annual variable sawtooth curve; 5) the typical «quanta» of MC is 40–50 minutes when high variability for a week and the month – 15–20 (in situations severe fatigue) to 90–120 minutes, and their length vary in an extremely wide range and depends on the conditions and environmental conditions of the subject; 6) active work with a strong mobilization and increase MC combined with the subsequent lowering of MC.
