Abstract:

The article defines the subject of family acmeology and its differences from family psychology and sociology. It is shown that subject area of family acmeology includes mechanisms for achieving maximum perfection of the family as an integral system, as well as family members that form the system. The system of categories of family acmeology has been singled out according to the principle of subject area disclosure. The article introduces the notion of family ideal as the crucial criterion of the state of acme (maturity) of the family system and the stereotype of family as a system of objective traits that characterize family’s interaction with the environment. The program of family acmeology studies of current importance is presented. The applied aspect of the study is focused on the two spheres, which are important for modern Russian family-related situation. They are: improvement of the family as an integral system and improvement of personality in the family.
