The article defines the subject of family acmeology and its differences from family psychology and sociology. It is shown that subject area of family acmeology includes mechanisms for achieving maximum perfection of the family as an integral system, as well as family members that form the system. The system of categories of family acmeology has been singled out according to the principle of subject area disclosure.
