Protest Activity and its Psychological Content in the Context of Young People’s Socio-Political Activity

The purpose of the study presented in the article is to investigate sociopsychological characteristics of modern young people’s protest activity within the context of socio-political activity. The relevance of the study can be explained by the need to create practice-oriented recommendations aimed at developing young people’s socio-political activity, having taken into account social requirements and using theoretical data.

Moral Orientation and Subjective Well-Being of Young People from Different Ethnic Groups

The paper presents the results of a theoretical and empirical study of moral orientations and subjective well-being, conducted on a sample of young Russians and Armenians using the following psychodiagnostic tools: the scale of subjective well-being (M. V. Sokolova); the technique for measuring the level of social frustratedness (L. I. Vasserman); the technique for diagnosing moral orientations (I. S. Slavinskaya, A. D. Nasledov, M. Y. Dvoretskaya).

Valued Risks and Youth’s Conception of the Parenthood

The article reflects the topical issues of global transformation of values, associated with demographic processes and resource potential of the state. Achievement of utmost levels and increase in depopulation, inadequate reflection of the gender factor in population policy determines the increase of the crisis and the risks of the contemporary society.

Socio-political and civil activity of young people: Between massification and individualization

The purpose of the study presented in the article is a theoretical analysis of socio-political and civic activity of young people in the context of processes of individualization and massification as contradictory but interdependent trends in the development of modern society. The relevance of the study is supported by the need for scientific understanding of conditions under which the formation of social and political subjectivity of young people and their choice of these types of activity take place.

Analysis of Relationship between Commitment to Civic Engagement and Socio-Psychological Characteristics of Students

The purpose of the study presented in the article is to identify the relationship between commitment to civic engagement and sociopsychological characteristics of the individual. The study was carried out on a sample of young students (N = 110) aged 17 to 29 years (M = 23, SD = 3.98), 29% of men and 71% of women. The following methodological tools were used: a questionnaire aimed at fixing the socio-demographic characteristics of respondents; a questionnaire, including a scale of self-assessment of social activity and forms of its manifestation (R. Activity Characteristics of Social Activity in Young People Belonging to Different Age Groups

The relevance of the study is associated with insufficient information regarding forms of social activity of an individual taken in conjunction with characteristics of their respective activities and features of manifestation of this relationship in young people belonging to different age groups. Its goal is to identify the most typical areas of manifestation of young people’s social activity considering age development dynamics in relation to characteristics of the activities carried out within them.

Problems and Perspectives of the Study of Young People’s Social Activity

The purpose of the study presented in the article is to give a theoretical review of articles devoted to the problem of social activity and its types. The urgency of the study of social activity is conditioned by the need to study psychological mechanisms of formation, development and forms of its manifestation in young people under the changing conditions of the social environment. The article presents the main definitions of the notion of social activity from the interdisciplinary perspective.
