Personality traits of a modern leader as seen by students

The relevance of the research is due to the public demand for the development of youth leadership programs. Additionally, the leaders themselves express the need to take into account the ideas of the youth about their personal characteristics in order to develop effectively. The objective of the study is to identify characteristics that are signifi cant for a modern youth leader as seen by students themselves depending on their gender and age.

Psychological and pedagogical support of youths when developing their competence in the social activity manifestation

The relevance of the research is determined by the public demand for the development of scientifi cally based programs of work with modern young people that allow developing youths’ social activity. The objective of the study is to design the technology of psychological and pedagogical support of youths in their social activity manifestation that is based on the theoretical model of its structural and functional organization.

Risk management technologies in the development of social activity of the youth

The article presents the results of the study aimed at justifying the possibility to use risk management technologies in working with young people in order to support their social activity. The study hypothesis is based on the assumption that modern risk management technologies, which are interdisciplinary in nature, can be used when working with young people, contributing to the formation and development of constructive forms of their social activity.

Protest Activity and its Psychological Content in the Context of Young People’s Socio-Political Activity

The purpose of the study presented in the article is to investigate sociopsychological characteristics of modern young people’s protest activity within the context of socio-political activity. The relevance of the study can be explained by the need to create practice-oriented recommendations aimed at developing young people’s socio-political activity, having taken into account social requirements and using theoretical data.

Moral Orientation and Subjective Well-Being of Young People from Different Ethnic Groups

The paper presents the results of a theoretical and empirical study of moral orientations and subjective well-being, conducted on a sample of young Russians and Armenians using the following psychodiagnostic tools: the scale of subjective well-being (M. V. Sokolova); the technique for measuring the level of social frustratedness (L. I. Vasserman); the technique for diagnosing moral orientations (I. S. Slavinskaya, A. D. Nasledov, M. Y. Dvoretskaya).

Conscience in the Perception of Student Youth

We present the data of empirical study of concepts of conscience, performed on samples of students, enrolled at Saratov State University, Saratov (N = 60, aged 21-22, feminine - 52% and masculine - 48%) using the method of free association with the subsequent ranking of semantic components of perceptions of conscience by the frequency of their actualization, use of prototypical data analysis by P. Verges and the method of content analysis.

Image of Maternity and Paternity and Parental Attitudes in the Youth

The article analyzes theoretical approaches to understanding the process of the development of image of parenthood. It reveals the gender differences in the ideas of maternity and paternity, and also in parental mindset and expectations. The research sample group consisted of 60 respondents (30 young men and 30 girls age 20- 24 years). The complex of methods has been used: modified version of diagnostic method for interpersonal relationships by T. Leary, adapted by L. N. Sobchik modified by R. V. Ovcharova, PARI method by E. S. Sheffer and R. K. Bell adapted by T. V.

A Conscious and Weakly Conscious in the Social Representations of Young People of Conscience

Research focuses on studying social representations of students about conscience. The use of two complementary research methods of social representations reveals both conscious and rational opinions about the young people of conscience and poorly conscious mean­ings and associations connected with the phenomenon of conscience. The results showed that the core of representations of young people of conscience has a positively stained category as a conscious and the conscious in weak form.
