The Influence of Emotional Intelligence on Quality of Life of Students in Educational Space

Abstract: 

The research of an emotional condition of students is the most important factor of training in higher education institution, a basis of formation of the identity of the expert and high professional suitability in the future. An objective of this research is the interrelation of quality of life and development of emotional intelligence of the student as subject of educational process. The ability to understand one’s own emotions, to use them for improvement of quality of life, to manage your own feelings allows to regulate the level of a stress and promotes fruitful communication with people around, increasing that quality of life within educational and professional spheres. For achievement of a goal in work have been used the method of the cross-disciplinary analysis of scientific literature which has allowed to disclose the essence of theoretical and methodological bases of interrelation of emotional intelligence and quality of life and the theoretical modeling which has allowed to structure activity of subjects of educational process. Studying of the concepts «emotional intelligence» and «quality of life» has shown that pedagogical process in modern conditions of training in higher education institution, along with other factors, influences quality of life of the student, causing tension of the mentally emotional sphere, and development of emotional intelligence can become a strong basis of good relations, achievements in educational activity, in career and improvements of quality of life. Subsequently, the obtained data will allow to define the position, most suitable and comfortable for the student, to predict behavior of each student in interaction with fellow students, teachers and colleagues, to establish the directions of his/her further development, to improve psychological climate in future professional collective.
