Forms of Economic Socialization of a Personality: Explanation of the Approach

Abstract:

The article presents the analysis, whose goal is to solve the problem of identifying the diversity of forms of economic socialization, and the nature of relationships between them. We explain the development perspective of the approach to the study of forms of economic socialization of an individual, as well as analyze the interrelation between such concepts as the “stage of economic socialization” and “form of economic socialization”. Also, the article describes the interrelation of a form and content of economic socialization. The form of economic socialization is interpreted as a relatively stable characteristic that allows us to consider it as an integral system. It performs a backbone function and determines the qualitative and quantitative features of economic socialization processes. The content of economic socialization characterizes the variability of its structure and functions. Presumably, the process of economic socialization can be determined by the variety of its forms, differing in their content (structure and functions). Alteration of the economic socialization content at each of its stages leads to a change in the form of economic socialization. We distinguish between the following basic forms of economic socialization: primary, secondary and transitional. The issue of the status of the form of “economic re-socialization” among a number of similar concepts is raised. The examples of partial forms of economic socialization are: anticipative, direct and inverse, voluntary and forced. Partial forms of economic socialization can manifest themselves in the space of basic forms, specifying and supplementing their content with new elements or giving new meaning to the connections of elements in the structure of one form or another. The perspective of the research of forms of economic socialization is connected with the study of the system of their determination.
