Abstract:

The article presents a theoretical analysis of improvement process of organizing educational and exploratory activities of elementary schoolchildren. We analyzed the ways of educational and exploratory activities development of elementary schoolchildren as part of the educational process in elementary school. The essence of the concept of “exploratory attitude of elementary schoolchildren to the world around us” was studied. The goal of the study is to identify the possibilities of project activities of environmental orientation for the promotion and development of the exploratory attitude of elementary schoolchildren to the outside world. The hypothesis of the study was the suggestion that the organization of environmental exploratory activities will increase the independent exploratory activity of elementary schoolchildren. The project activity of environmental orientation within the framework of the project “Secrets of the public park” for the activation and development of the exploratory attitude of elementary schoolchildren to the outside world was carried out in extracurricular activities (10 classes and 6 excursions) including the following stages: “Preparatory”, “Park of secrets and mysteries”, “Park of secret places and deeds”, “Park of the future”. We analyzed the results of the inclusion of elementary schoolchildren in exploratory activity and proposed the ways of developing the exploratory attitude of elementary schoolchildren to the world around us by means of ecological modelling through understanding the sociocultural nature of exploratory activities, accepting the social role of a researcher (experimenter, creator, generator of ideas), mastering models of exploratory behavior for interacting with objects and subjects of the outside world as social and natural values.
