The present article makes an attempt of analysis and contemplation about cultural, historical, psychological, and spiritual reasons of modern Russian teenagers’ suicidal behavior. The results showed that the reason is in an anthropological crisis that leads to dissociation with culture and spiritual traditions. People’s orientation towards surrogate values decreases the society’s synergy, brings in destructive and self-injurious forms of behavior (including suicidal attempts) and decreases the level of survivability. The author comes to the conclusion that the main factor that keeps a child away from suicidal behavior is the quality of relations with the natural human environment, primarily with significant adults. The problem of suicidal behavior in children lies in the sphere of collegial responsibility of adults.
