Agency of city dwellers: Concept and its operationalization

The research is relevant because it explores a new phenomenon – city dwellers’ agency – and introduces it in the thesaurus of social psychology of the city. The aim of the research is to formulate the concept of “city dweller’s agency” and to conduct its operationalization. Hypothesis: There is a connection between an individual’s internal sense of responsibility for positive urban changes and their attitudes towards city dwellers’ engagement across various platforms including online, discussions, and physical actions.

Individual Determinants of Subjective Distortions in Evaluating Stress Factors of Urban Area

We listed the psychological aspects of perceiving urban environment as a source of stressing the individual. It has been shown that it is not only the objective characteristics of the urban environment that may adversely affect an individual, but also the peculiar attitude of a person to the environment and the person's individual features and mass objectives.

Young People’s Social and Psychological Satiety with Life in a Megapolis: Conceptual Approach and Research Results

The relevance of the study is associated with the study of viability resources of young city dwellers in the context of growing urbanization processes. The article presents theoretical and empirical research data regarding the problem of operationalization of the phenomenon of social and psychological satiety, which is a psychological state generated by peculiarities of the urban environment. The article presents concept description, gives data on its operationalization, formulates the hypothesis and shows some results of its empirical verification.
