The Role of the Cultural Texts in the Educational Sphere of an Artistic Higher Educational Establishment

The characteristic of cultural texts is being described in the article. The cultural text appears as a system of narration, which is characterized by completion and integrity and also by inner connection and consistency. The role of the cultural texts in the formation of humanitarian education is being considered. Special attention is devoted to pedagogical (educational) technologies in humanitarian education.

Subjective Understanding of Three Realities of Human Existence

The study analyses three realities in which human lives: empirical, socio-cultural, and existential. The research shows that human exists in different realities and understand them with different psychological grounding. Common meaning for all the people, not individual per­sonal meaning, acts as a psychological basis for understanding of judgments about the facts of empirical reality. In this case under­standing is based on commonly known authentic knowledge which M. Foucault called «cognitive», not converting the subject under­standing the world.

Understanding the Problem Situation and its Successful Solution

The goal of this research is to study the process of understanding as a form of productive thinking aimed at solving problematic situations. We demonstrated that the understanding of a meaning of a work of art, which unfolds as a dialogue between two subjects: the author and the reader/audience, can serve as a model for understanding the problematic situation. The standard for understanding is the meaning laid down by the author.

Psychological Rehabilitation of Families with Children with Health Limitations

The paper presents an approach developed by the author of the study to addressing special features of the attitude to diseases and health conditions of different groups of people, including children and families with disabilities, and to addressing the problems and components of their rehabilitation. The study directs special attention at understanding as the leading modality of productive comprehension of health problems and their transformation, which is an important component of a person’s recovery and healing and his/her relationship with oneself and the world.
