Psychometric characteristics of the questionnaire to measure boys’ and adults’ involvement in video games

There has been a discussion about the inclusion of video game disorder in the list of diseases of the DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th edition) and the upcoming ICD-11 (International Classifi cation of Diseases, 11th revision), however, modern psychology lacks screening tools to distinguish addicts from avid players.

Military Identity of an Officer: Questionnaire and Its Validation

The purpose of the study presented in the article is to develop and validate the original technique for determining military identity level. The relevance of research topic is conditioned by the lack of methods for determining military identity level of military personnel. We proposed a new tool to determine the level of military identity. The hypothesis of the study was an assumption that the tool that was developed for assessing military identity level of officers is valid and reliable.

Method of Studying Deviant Activity in the Real and Virtual Environment

Based on the works of Russian and foreign researchers in the field of the psychology of deviant behavior, definitions of the terms “real deviant activity” and “virtual deviant activity” have been specified. The article proposes a new toolset for the study of selected types of social activity. The purpose of the study was to develop and validate the original method. The sample consisted of 260 students (checking internal consistency, split reliability, convergent validity n = 210, diachronic reliability n = 50). Psychometric toolkit contains 48 points and 4 scales.
