Abstract:

The results of an empirical study with the participation 104 people with different socio-demographic characteristics, surveyed with 9 techniques that assess satisfaction with life, adaptation to life, sub-jective well-being, as well as some personal factors of subjective well-being, such as value orientation, motivation, hardiness, psychological defense mechanisms. Based on the results of the cluster analysis four types of subjective well-being were identified and described. The types were conventionally designated as «hostile», «passively-aggressive», «socially active» and «conformal». Various aspects of subjective well-being (positive and negative emotions, satisfaction with self-realization in different life areas, the existence of complaints and problems) have varying degrees of severity at each of identified types. Each type of subjective well-being is also associated with certain personality factors. Some specific for each subjective well-being type factors of resilience, values, motivation, defense mechanisms were revealed.
