The article discusses the issue of the relationship between the academic psychology and psychology practice. It is argued that the mismatch (gap) between the academic psychology and psychology practice is normal and natural. It is alleged that the candidates for the role of basic paradigms in modern psychology are the natural-sciences, hermeneutic, constructivistic, synergetical, postmodernal, psychotechnical. It is concluded that the leading paradigms are between natural science and hermeneutical.
