Academic and Practical Psychology: Search for the Ways of Mutual Understanding and Cooperation

Abstract: 

The article discusses the issue of the relationship between the academic psychology and psychology practice. It is argued that the mismatch (gap) between the academic psychology and psychology practice is normal and natural. In scientific psychology going rivalry between naturalistic and hermeneutic paradigms. The author analyzes the current state of scientific psychology. Revealed paradigmatic status of modern psychology Draw conclusions about the diversity of approaches to the treatment paradigms in psychology and about the various interpretations of paradigmatic approach in psychology. Considered as a paradigm: as philosophy, as epistemological position, as a shared view, as examples of models. Characterized by such options as paradigms of understanding biological, behavioral, humanistic, activity, dialogic, interactional, cognitivistic, neuroscience, psychodynamic, social-cognitive- learning, feminist, existentialphenomenological. It is alleged that the candidates for the role of basic paradigms in modern psychology are the natural-sciences, hermeneutic, constructivistic, synergetical, postmodernal, psychotechnical. It is concluded that the leading paradigms are between natural science and hermeneutical.
