Lifestyle and psychological well-being as predictors of a positive perception of aging

The relevance of the study is determined by the the necessity to understand the contribution of various aspects of one’s lifestyle to the structure of the adults’ perception of aging in order to further construct a productive old age of the population. The research purpose is to tudy the infl uence of the components of a healthy lifestyle and psychological well-being on a positive view on aging. The study hypothesizes that a healthy lifestyle and psychological well-being contribute to the formation of a positive image of aging.

Peculiarities of perceiving aging by men and women during the middle and late adulthood periods

The relevance of the study is determined by the necessity for scientifi c substantiation and development of methods aimed at improving the quality of life in the old age. The research purpose is to study the peculiarities of the perception of aging by men and women during middle and late adulthood. The study hypothesizes that peculiarities of the age perception by men and women are manifested in the idea of the causal role of aging in the context of changes in health, as well as in the emotional attitude towards aging.
