Interrelation between Discriminatory Attitudes and Characteristics of Life Satisfaction, Happiness in Young People

The purpose of the study presented in the article is to establish the interrelation between discriminatory attitudes and characteristics of life satisfaction, happiness in young people. Interconnection between Discriminatory Attitudes of an Individual and Socio-Demographic Characteristics, Socio-Political and Socio-Economic Preferences

Discriminatory attitudes, which are common for the society, inhibit social, cultural, and economic development. It is a significant risk factor in the system of interpersonal and social relationships. That is why it is important to analyse the determinants of discriminatory attitudes of individuals and groups for scientific explanation and development of practical recommendations in the field of social management and risk management.

Structural Peculiarity of Discriminatory Attitudes of the Personality

The purpose of the study presented in the article is to investigate structural peculiarities of discriminatory attitudes empirically. The study was conducted on a sample (N=168), mean age 27,63 years, the sample was mostly composed of females (78,6%). In the course of study we used the following psycho-diagnostic toolset: a questionnaire that was specifically developed for the investigation, Yanoff-Bulman’s “Scale of Basic Beliefs” (M. A. Padun and A. V. Kotelnikova’s adaptation).

Formation of Discriminatory Personal Attitudes in the Process of Socialization

Discriminatory attitudes are an important regulator of individual and group behavior that is expressed towards representatives of various groups in the modern society. The importance of overcoming discriminatory attitudes for innovative development of the society has been confirmed. The article presents results of theoretical analysis of the problem of discriminatory attitudes formation from the standpoint of individual socialization.
