Age Dynamics of Multi-Level Properties of Individuality and Personal Tolerance for Uncertainty and Ambiguity

Abstract: 

The paper presents the data of empirical research aimed at identifying the nature of relationship of tolerance for uncertainty and ambiguity, and inter-level properties of psychodynamic and personal levels in the structure of integrated individuality of students (N = 150) at the initial and final stage of training. It was revealed that the specificity of relationship of multi-level properties that determine personal tolerance changes in the course of university studies in the direction of reducing the contribution of biologically deterministic properties that provide adaptability and psychological stability. Tolerance for uncertainty and ambiguity at the level of psycho-social predicament is defined by the presence of complex multi-level indicators that determine endurance, flexibility in communicative and objective activities, as well as the ability to initiate activity and openness to new experience.
